Grounds & Grapes
Branding for an independent coffee & wine shop
Overview
-
Grounds & Grapes is a newly opened restaurant in south London. By day it operates as a coffee shop and during the evenings it becomes a wine bar that also offers some light nibbles to its clients. I was approached by the owners to design the new identity of their restaurant as well as design and develop their website.

Concept
-
Following the clients brief a simple and elegant logotype has been created. The bespoke drawn ampersand is designed to be both memorable and recognisable bringing the two offerings of the restaurant together.

The logo
-
The below represents the primary option of the logo.

Brand guidelines
-
The logo is complemented by a modern and elegant typeface along with a colour palette that takes inspiration from the interior design of the restaurant.

Patterns
-
To reinforce the branding a series of patterns was created by combining the brand colours and a simplified version of the logo.
